It has been thirteen years Ennio Morricone’ last studio CD, “Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. On Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen album, Ennio Morricone have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Ennio Morricone last CD (Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen) on Virgin Records back in 1981, I have felt a massive void in my life. Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen is not something you should pass up.
Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen is Thanksgiving Day. I can’t stop humming along The Last Trumpet. Challenge Till The Last Fork is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This is probably my favorite song on the album. At The Tailor is one of the coolest songs Ennio Morricone has ever recorded. Occhio Alla Penna - Have A Look to the Feather which is my favorite is a truly Ennio Morricone sounding song. I now have Pantomima Del Letto as one of my personal favorites. When I listen to Form Bad To Best in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Vaohanana Manito is pretty funky and mellow. Only The Big Little on Eine Faust Geht Nach Westen is solid and easy to listen to. Ennio Morricone offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Two Nice Tramps one of the best in my collection. Many Fists is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart.
