Menage All Italiana isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Ennio Morricone last CD (Menage All Italiana) on Virgin Records back in 1965, I have felt a massive void in my life. Lead single “In Fondo Al Miei Occhi” and “Ho Messo Gli Occhi Su Di Te” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Enjoy the show.
Ho Messo Gli Occhi Su Di Te is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. In 1 And 1 And 4 Ennio Morricone is at his best. I’ve found myself listening to La Moglie Assasina back to back and back many times. Album opener Menage All’italiana - in Fondo Al Miei Occhi is a bright, upbeat ditty. Fermateli have really caught my ear and imagination. Ho Messo Gli Occhi Su Di Te is the first taste of the new album. In Fondo Al Miei Occhi is one of the best records ever. Un Fiore E Nato is the song that really did it for me. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Giallo E Arancione - This is a very lively song. La Moglie Tardona is one of these floating songs. Nice and different song. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Matrimonio Felice from the beginning to the end.
