Veruschka isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ennio Morricone’s album Veruschka falls to No. 2 with 574,000, a sales slide of 59%. Veruschka is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Intervallo 1 (3:53) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. La Bambola - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. I can’t stop humming along Astratto 1. Strong, powerful vocals of Ennio Morricone in La Spiaggia are very impressive. Dopo L’intervista is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Ennio Morricone allows each song to breathe and flourish. Le Fotografe pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. La Bambola is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Intervallo 2 is really the reason why I recommend buying Veruschka. Magia is simply exquisite. I came to like Astratto 2. Veruschka actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Ennio Morricone’s face. Astratto 3 is probably the most interesting track on Veruschka.
