It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Eroc energies, virtually a rebirth. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Eroc on ‘Wolkenreise’. Since completing 1983’s ‘Wolkenreise’, Eroc fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Eroc is the best band ever.
As always, Eroc’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Javea is a great opener for Wolkenreise. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Fito Linte. Die Musik Vom Berg very upbeat. Hundertwasser - Okay, I just talked about depth. Des Zauberers Traum - To me, this is the best song on the Wolkenreise. Solar Plexus is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Zimperlein is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Ein Heflicher Abgang is the gorgeous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
