This is the first studio album from Eurythmics since bad diagnosis in 1983. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Eurythmics on ‘Love Is A Stranger’. Eurythmics’s debut, ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
I’ve Got An Angel the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. The song Wrap It Up ending is my favorite… so catchy! I Could Give You (A Mirror) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. After about the third The Walk listen through, I began to believe this song is Eurythmics’s essence. Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) is astounding. Jennifer - Check out that bassline! Opening track This Is The House shows the best of Eurythmics. I like Somebody Told Me because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. This City Never Sleeps is a amazing, simple song by Eurythmics at the top of his game.
