On the Croatia charts, superstar Fabrizio de Andre’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Fabrizio de Andre’s debut, ‘Non Al Denaro,Non All’Amore…’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since completing 1971’s ‘La Collina’, Fabrizio de Andre fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Un Matto makes a person feel cool. Un Giudice is astounding. I believe Un Blasfemo is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. Un Malato Di Cuore is a good listen every once in a while. Opening track Un Medico shows the best of Fabrizio de Andre. Lyrics of Un Chimico are precise and evocative. Un Ottico is a very catchy tune. Il Suonatore Jones is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
