Now signed to Felt’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “The Splendor Of Fear” leads Felt’s back-to-school campaign. The Splendor Of Fear carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. nine years ago, Felt briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The World Is As Soft As Lace”. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
The World Is As Soft As Lace (4:15) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Splendor Of Fear. The first time I listened to Mexican Bandits I was struck by its exquisite sound. It’s a great pleasure to listen to The Stagnant Pool from the beginning to the end. Song A Preacher in New England is actually a funny song.
