four years ago, Fra Lippo Lippi briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Fabric Wardrobe - 1980″. Some B-Sides is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Fra Lippo Lippi on ‘A Moment Like This (Live) - 1983′. Overall, I would highly recommend Some B-Sides CD.
Fabric Wardrobe - 1980 is simple, dignified and effective, Fra Lippo Lippi refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. The sound of Out To Sea - 1984 is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Vocals of Fra Lippo Lippi in Say Something - 1984 really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
