This is the first studio album from Francis Lai since bad diagnosis in 1968. La Lecon Particuliere isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. ‘La Lecon Particuliere’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Enjoy the show.
Olivier is astounding. Simple and heartfelt closing track La Lettre Et La Promenade closes La Lecon Particuliere on a high note. I Don’t Know Why (Nicole Croisille) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. The sound of La Leon Particulire is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I now have Night In Avoriaz as one of my personal favorites.
