Since Francis Lai last CD (Vivre Pour Vivre) on Columbia Records back in 1967, I have felt a massive void in my life. Francis Lai had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. eleven years ago, Francis Lai briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Th8me De Robert”. Enjoy the show.
Th8me De Robert rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Aujourd’hui C’est Toi (1) because the melody in the chorus is so good. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Music and lyrics of Zoom creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Strong, powerful vocals of Francis Lai in Vivre Pour Vivre are very impressive. Put Th8me De Catherine (Accord9on) into car stereo for your highway driving Des Ronds Dans L’eau (3:19) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Vivre Pour Vivre stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. This song may be the most meaningful. Album opener Th8me De Candice is a bright, upbeat ditty.
