Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar was the first single release from the album Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar. While You Wre Out very upbeat. Musically Treacherous Cretins is superior to other tracks in Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Soup And Old Clothes is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Variations On The Carlos Santana. Gee I Like Your Pants - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. In Canarsie the music gets its power. Ship Ahoy is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Frank Zappa released so far. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Deathless Horsie closes Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar on a high note. Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar Some More is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Pink Napkins is perfect. Beat It With Your Fist gives good insight into the truths. I now have Return Of The Son Of Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar as one of my personal favorites. Pinocchio’s Furniture is pretty funky and mellow. A great put together song. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Canard Du Jour is a good listen every once in a while.
