When you buy a Frumpy album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Frumpy comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This album has some very good songs like Keep On Going and Backwater Blues. Smart music for smart people.
Backwater Blues is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. I’ve found myself listening to Release back to back and back many times. Take Care Of Illusion rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: To My Mother, which shows, blatantly, how much Frumpy has evolved as a singer.
