Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Gene Vincent on ‘Wild Cat (Stereo)’. There is so much to love about Gene Vincent, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since completing 1959’s ‘Wild Cat (Stereo)’, Gene Vincent fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Hot Dollar is a striking and quite long song. In Right Here On Earth (Master - Mono Take 7) full palet of sound is used by Gene Vincent to accentuate the presentation. I like the agression and power of Right Here On Earth (Alternate Stereo Take). It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Everybody’s Got A Date But Me is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. All of songs on Wild Cat and have something to say letting alone Mitchiko From Tokyo. A fantastic track full of wonder. Weeping Willow is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Crazy Beat (Takes 6 And 7) is the albums biggest surprise. I’m Gonna Catch Me A Rat (Take 
is a very catchy tune. It’s Been Nice (Take 1) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. That’s The Trouble With Love (Take 3) to me is the best you can get from Gene Vincent. Good Lovin’ (Take 13) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I came to like Mister Loneliness (Take 1). Teardrops (Take 17) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. I’ve found myself listening to There I Go Again (Take 7) back to back and back many times. In I’m Goin’ Home (To See My Baby) Gene Vincent spins a tale you want to hear to the end. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
