Self-described as Rock: Pop-Rock with lots of words, George Harrison comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since George Harrison last CD (Living In The Material World) on ForeFront Records back in 1973, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is so much to love about George Harrison, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Such great and happy songs.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth), which shows, blatantly, how much George Harrison has evolved as a singer. Sue Me, Sue You Blues - This one is lively and fun. Best song on the album, love it. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Who Can See It to me is the best you can get from George Harrison. Living In The Material World - A classic George Harrison track. A great put together song. George Harrison breathes new life into the music in Be Here Now. Try Some Buy Some is one of the more up-tempo songs on Living In The Material World. George Harrison must have run out of lyrics on the next track The Day The World Gets ‘Round. That Is All is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
