There were many famous songs of Gilbert O’Sullivan available. ‘Life and Rhymes’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Live Now Pay Later and Bear With Me is really good.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. You Don’t Own Me - To me, this is the best song on the Life and Rhymes. A Minute Of Your Time has a fun tempo. Gilbert O’Sullivan is hitting on all cylinders in Is It A Crime. Musically Got To Be That Way is superior to other tracks in Life and Rhymes. Has Been on Life and Rhymes is solid and easy to listen to. I Promise Honest - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Wonder Why is one of the best records ever. Gilbert O’Sullivan allows each song to breathe and flourish. Nice and different song. In At Least I’m Honest you won’t find any flashy solos.
