This is the first studio album from Gilla since bad diagnosis in 1978. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Gilla has. This disc has all of the essential Gilla classics. Smart music for smart people.
Musically Gentlemen Callers Not Allowed is superior to other tracks in Bend Me, Shape Me. Say Yes gets you up and jumping. A Baby Of Love - I just love it. The River Sings is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Album opener Help Help is a bright, upbeat ditty. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Hold On. I hope to keep hearing Gilla works for a long time to come. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Why Don’t You Do It - My least favorite song on this album. Gilla is hitting on all cylinders in The Girl From Ipanema.
