Giorgos Ntalaras was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Giorgos Ntalaras and Omorfo Xava together. Now signed to Giorgos Ntalaras’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Omorfo Xava” leads Giorgos Ntalaras’s back-to-school campaign. Omorfo Xava isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. After you’ve listened to O Eautos Mou, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Still going through Omorfo Xava and coming to appreciate Fere more and more with every listen. Anoikse Petro is simple, dignified and effective, Giorgos Ntalaras refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In Toutos O Tafos you won’t find any flashy solos. Listening to Thelw Na Ta Pw you can hear that Giorgos Ntalaras has still amazing chemistry with band members. Adiorthw Anarxi is a amazing sing-along. Ezhse Me To Tipota had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Gia Ela Kathhse Me Mas - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Voice and instruments in Omorfos Xavas complement each other. O Dromos Einai Dromos is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Den Ein O Kosmos Filos Mou as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature.
