It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Golden Earring energies, virtually a rebirth. Since completing 1982’s ‘The Devil Made Me Do It’, Golden Earring fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Cut is an amazing album, racked with beauty.This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Golden Earring has astounded me with this amazing track. Baby Dynamite one is one of the better boring ones. Last Of The Mohicans had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This song may be the most meaningful. Twilight Zone is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Golden Earring released so far. Chargin’ Up My Batteries is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Secrets is probably the most interesting track on Cut.
