You isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. sixteen years ago, Gong briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “A P.H.P.’s Advice”. IT makes me wanna dance!
A P.H.P.’s Advice is the albums biggest surprise. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Magick Mother Invocation, which shows, blatantly, how much Gong has evolved as a singer. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I loved A Sprinkling of Clouds the first time I heard it. It’s such an underrated song. In The Isle of Everywhere Gong spins a tale you want to hear to the end. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Gong.
