On Satanic Rites album, Hellhammer have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since completing 1983’s ‘Intro’, Hellhammer fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Metal: Death,Black music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Satanic Rites’ really is amazing. Satanic Rites is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Messiah is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. The Third Of The Storms (Evoked Damnation) - A strong beat. Buried and Forgotten is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. I like the agression and power of Maniac. Euronymous is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Revelations Of Doom is amazing song though, very addictive. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Satanic Rites. Satanic Rites is just simply stunning. Music in Crucifixion is cool as in all tracks of Satanic Rites. All of songs on Satanic Rites and have something to say letting alone Outro.
