Revenge Of The Pink Panther isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since completing 1978’s ‘(Main Title) The Pink Panther Theme’, Henry Mancini fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Henry Mancini on ‘(Main Title) The Pink Panther Theme’. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Simone gives taste of what makes Henry Mancini special as a musician. I was truly moved when I heard Give Me Some Mo’!. In Thar She Blows full palet of sound is used by Henry Mancini to accentuate the presentation. Balls’ Caprice is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Move ‘em Out! has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Henry Mancini’s strong vocals come to the fore. A Touch Of Red is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Revenge Of The Pink Panther. After The Shower has a fun tempo. Hong Kong Fireworks - I just love it. Almond Eyes is probably one of Henry Mancini’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Revenge Of The Pink Panther is The Pink Panther Theme. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Henry Mancini.
