one years ago, Henry Mancini briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Joy”. Henry Mancini had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. For older fans The Mancini Generation will put a massive smile accross your face. I wish that “The Mancini Generation” album was instrumental.
Joy - A catchy, upbeat tune. Opening track The Swingin’ Shepherd Blues shows the best of Henry Mancini. The Masterpiece on The Mancini Generation is solid and easy to listen to. Henry Mancini must have run out of lyrics on the next track Charade. Memphis Underground had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Henry Mancini offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Amazing Grace is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Mancini Generation. After about the third A Bluish Bag listen through, I began to believe this song is Henry Mancini’s essence. Eager Beaver is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Mancini Generation Theme (Reprise) marked the continuation of Henry Mancini in style evolution.
