Lead single “Meggie Leaves Drogheda” and “Arrival At Queensland” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best Cd’s Henry Mancini has dropped to date. Henry Mancini was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Henry Mancini and The Thorn Birds Cd2 together. If I may, I suggest “Meggie Leaves Drogheda”. That one song is amazing!
Arrival At Queensland - This one is lively and fun. Begin Of The End is a medium tempo tune. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Henry Mancini. New Kid In Town make listening to Henry Mancini like being in some sort of time warp. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Matlock Island because the melody in the chorus is so good. Only one song from The Thorn Birds Cd2 named Beach Walk really got me. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Forbidden Love. Raplh And Meggie catches attention immediately, You have to get essence of the Paradise Lost’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Vacation’s End makes a person feel amazing. Meggie Leaves The Himmelhock is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Meggie Goes Home is a fine track on any terms. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Photographs. Together sets the tone for the entire album. From the moment you listen to Good Bye Dane you’re hooked. Justine Visits Drogheda is so unique, as each one of the songs is. The Greek Tragedy is just simply stunning.
