Who Is Killing The Great Chefs Of Europe isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Henry Mancini on ‘Who Is Killing The Great Chefs Of Europe’. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Henry Mancini energies, virtually a rebirth. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
As always, Henry Mancini’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Pesce! is a bit different from Henry Mancini stereotypical stuff. Henry Mancini emotions are reflected through Bombe Richelieu. Italian Soup is the first taste of the new album. They Hang Chefs, Don’t They is the song that really did it for me. The song Bombes Awaynatasha In Venice ending is my favorite… so catchy! Natasha’s Theme is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Henry Mancini is one of artists that allow his songs like Late Night Callgathering to stand on their own and be heard. Best song on the album, love it. In Fiery Finale Henry Mancini is at his best. Final Feastconfession is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Charming song, great melody.
