There is so much to love about High Tide, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since completing 1969’s ‘Futilist’s Lament’, High Tide fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best Cd’s High Tide has dropped to date. Sea Shanties is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Death Warmed Up is simple, dignified and effective, High Tide refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Pushed, But Not Forgotten is the first taste of the new album. Walking Down Their Outlook is another strong production from High Tide. Missing Out is one of these floating songs. Nowhere had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
