This is the first studio album from Hurriganes since bad diagnosis in 1979. It’s natural for Hurriganes to take a stab at ‘Desiree’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. When you buy a Hurriganes album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This album is a scorcher!
I’m Ready is a fine track on any terms. Hip Down is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Oh Yeah! is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This song is dynamic and dramatic. This is one hell of a track. In Get Along it becomes nowhere more obvious that Hurriganes has yet to define own style. A fantastic track full of wonder. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Jailbird. No Hurriganes song has come close to capturing my attention as Ya Ya did. Don’t judge Lipstick-Man on the first listening.
