It has been twelve years Iggy Pop’ last studio CD, “New Values” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. I am not a real Punk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘New Values’ really is amazing. It’s natural for Iggy Pop to take a stab at ‘Tell Me A Story’ considering her long-professed love for U2. Enjoy the show.
New Values is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. After about the third Girls listen through, I began to believe this song is Iggy Pop’s essence. I’m Bored is beautiful, yet underrated track. I can’t stop humming along Don’t Look Down. The Endless Sea is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in New Values. How Do Ya Fix A Broken Part is nothing but pure genius. Lyrics of Angel are precise and evocative. In Curiosity you won’t find any flashy solos. Iggy Pop must have run out of lyrics on the next track African Man. Billy Is A Runaway to me is the best you can get from Iggy Pop.
