Lead single “Just Changing Hands (bonus track)” and “The Enemy Smacks 13:49″ start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IQ had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. IQ’s debut, ‘Tales From the Lush Attic’, does not fit easily into one genre. Just Changing Hands (bonus track) and The Enemy Smacks 13:49 is really good.
Some of the arrangements found on Tales From the Lush Attic are surprisingly edgy. My Baby Treats Me Right Cos Im A Hard Lovin Man All Night Long 1:45 is one of the best records ever. Awake And Nervous 7:45 (7:46) a good melody. I loved Through The Corridors 2:35 the first time I heard it. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
