Ivan Grach has compared writing for Izrael’s new album to that on ‘Biada, Biada, Biada’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Self-described as Reggae with lots of words, Izrael comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s natural for Izrael to take a stab at ‘Wojna w Babilonie’ considering her long-professed love for Green Grey. Izrael is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Rastaman nie kiame has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I have all of Izrael’s tracks and Strach w Babilonie is probably the most his introspective effort. Poli bez kontroli is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Powstaccie wojownicy one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Although Plonie babilon is very melodic it is far from sad. Nasza kultura is another strong production from Izrael. Don’t judge Nie ryb tego zvego on the first listening. Id ludzie Babilonu - I just love it. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Kaplani Szatana from the beginning to the end. Some of the arrangements found on Biada, Biada, Biada are surprisingly edgy. I like the idea behind Dla kazdego tak samo.
