‘Invitation’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is so much to love about Jaco Pastorius, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Jaco Pastorius had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. If I may, I suggest “Invitation”. That one song is amazing!
Jaco Pastorius is one of artists that allow his songs like Amerika to stand on their own and be heard. Soul Intro -The Chicken - A classic Jaco Pastorius track. I love the melodic melody of Continuum and to this day it makes me feel good. Liberty City is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Sophisticated Lady is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Reza - Giant Steps - Reza (reprise) without a doubt is the standout song of Invitation. Fannie Mae is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Lyrics of Eleven are precise and evocative.
