There is so much to love about James Brown, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Overall, I would highly recommend Funk Power (1970 A Brand New Thang) CD.
This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. 05 - There Was A Time (I Got To Move) is a very catchy tune. Strong, powerful vocals of James Brown in 06 - Talkin’ Loud And Sayin’ Nothing are very impressive. Put 07 - Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved into car stereo for your highway driving Music in 08 - Soul Power is amazing as in all tracks of Funk Power (1970 A Brand New Thang). 09 - Get Up I Feel Like Beeing A Sex Machine is probably the highlight of the album. 10 - Fight Against Drugs Abuse is astounding song though, very addictive.
