The Essential (Remastered) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It’s natural for Jean Michel Jarre to take a stab at ‘Oxygene Part 4′ considering her long-professed love for Armin Van Buuren. On The Essential (Remastered) album, Jean Michel Jarre have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is what good Electronic should be.
Zoolookologie - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. It’s such an underrated song. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Oxygene Part 8. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Essential (Remastered). I think Ethnicolor 1 is the best song Jean Michel Jarre has ever done. Oxygene Part 2 good vocals. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Blew our minds when we first heard Souvenir De Chine / Spuvenir Of China. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Chronologie Part 4. Revolution, Revolutions is probably the most interesting track on The Essential (Remastered). L’Orchestre Sous La Pluie / Band In The Rain great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I like the idea behind Calypso. Quatrieme Rendez-Vous / Fourth Renderz-Vous - Check out that bassline! Jean Michel Jarre has astounded me with this amazing track. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
