After debuting at No. 1 last week, Jefferson Airplane’s album Jefferson Airplane Takes Off [France Bonus Tracks] falls to No. 2 with 803,000, a sales slide of 61%. Lead single “Blues from an Airplane” and “Let Me In” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Rock: Psychedelic with lots of words, Jefferson Airplane comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Unappreciated gift to Rock: Psychedelic
Jefferson Airplane has astounded me with this amazing track. This is probably my favorite song on the album. In It’s No Secret you won’t find any flashy solos. Tobacco Road pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Runnin’ ‘Round This World is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Jefferson Airplane Takes Off [France Bonus Tracks]. Come Up the Years is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I like Run Around because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Let’s Get Together is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Don’t Slip Away was the first single release from the album Jefferson Airplane Takes Off [France Bonus Tracks]. Chauffeur Blues is nothing but pure genius. When listening to And I Like It, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
