ten years ago, Jefferson Airplane briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Somebody To Love”. Surrealistic Pillow isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Self-described as Rock: Folk with lots of words, Jefferson Airplane comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I wish that “Surrealistic Pillow” album was instrumental.
I believe Somebody To Love is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written. I like the agression and power of My Best Friend. Today is the first taste of the new album. Within the first few notes of Comin Back To Me it’s perfectly clear that Jefferson Airplane is living this song. 3/5 Of A Mile In 10 Seconds is simply excellent. D.C.B.A. - 25 is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. How Do You Feel one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Embryonic Journey is one of my favorite songs by Jefferson Airplane. White Rabbit - a classic song. Jefferson Airplane rocks harder than ever with Plastic Fantastic Lover.
