There is so much to love about Jerry Lee Lewis, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Jerry Lee Lewis on ‘Hello, Hello Baby’. Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Exciting stuff.
Frankie And Johnny is one of the coolest songs Jerry Lee Lewis has ever recorded. Your Cheatin’ Heart is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Although Goodnight Irene (Overdubbed Ma is very melodic it is far from sad. Only one song from Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4) named When The Saints Go Marchin’ In really got me. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. It All Depends (Who Will Buy T - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I now have Put Me Down as one of my personal favorites. Fools Like Me (Undubbed Master - arguably the best track on Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4) album. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. I believe False Start & Crazy Heart is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. Put Me Down is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Put Me Down motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. In High School Confidential (Mast it becomes nowhere more obvious that Jerry Lee Lewis has yet to define own style. Slippin’ Around was the first single release from the album Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4). I’ll See You In My Dreams without a doubt is the standout song of Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4). This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Let The Good Times Roll is a fine track on any terms. The song feels complete. Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4) couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Settin’ The Woods On Fire (Uni. Break Up still maintains something of a specific flourish. Crazy Heart is probably the most interesting track on Complete Sun Years (1956-1963) (Cd4). Live And Let Live is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. False Start & I’ll Make It All - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Crazy Arms - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Jerry Lee Lewis. Johnny B. Goode - A strong beat. I find myself hearing bits of False Start To Settin’ The Woo here and there throughout my waking hours.
