I am not a real Rock: Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Isle Of Wight’ really is amazing. Jimi Hendrix had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lead single “Intro-God Save The Queen” and “Message Of Love” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. To me Jimi Hendrix is the best band ever.
This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Isle Of Wight. Voodoo Chile - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I listened to the opening track Lover Man and liked it a lot. Machine Gun - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Jimi Hendrix. After few listenings I started to like Dolly Dagger more and more. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. In From The Storm is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. New Rising Sun is the first taste of the new album.
