When you buy a Joan Baez album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Now signed to Joan Baez’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Gulf Winds” leads Joan Baez’s back-to-school campaign. While no new Joan Baez album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1976 tour in Asia. Unappreciated gift to Folk
Seabirds one is one of the better boring ones. Such hits like Caruso will leave you hooked. Still Waters at Night is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Kingdom of Childhood is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Joan Baez released so far. Oh Brother is probably one of Joan Baez’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. You have to get essence of the Time Is Passing Us By’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I love the melodic melody of Stephanie’s Room and to this day it makes me feel good. Joan Baez is hitting on all cylinders in Gulf Winds.
