On Mad Dogs and Englishmen (Deluxe Edition) - Disc 1 of 2 album, Joe Cocker have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It’s natural for Joe Cocker to take a stab at ‘Don Preston / Further On Up The Road (Previously Unissued)’ considering her long-professed love for Led Zeppelin. There were many famous songs of Joe Cocker available. Great Pop right here!
Claudia Linnear / Let It Be (Single B-Side - Previously Unissued on Album) is a song to enjoy for years to come. Darling Be Home Soon (Previously Unissued) to me is the best you can get from Joe Cocker. I have all of Joe Cocker’s tracks and Something (Previously Unissued) is probably the most his introspective effort. I was truly moved when I heard Feelin’ Alright. Rita Coolidge / Superstar is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Blew our minds when we first heard Cry Me A River. First time I heard Sticks And Stones was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Bird On A Wire has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Joe Cocker’s strong vocals come to the fore. When I listen to The Weight (Previously Unissued) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. She Came In Thru The Bathroom Window has a fun tempo. Honky Tonk Women - A strong beat.
