After seeing Cosmopolitan, I had to have a good Joe Jackson cd. eight years ago, Joe Jackson briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “1-2-3 Go (This Town’s a Fairground)”. This is the first studio album from Joe Jackson since bad diagnosis in 1983. Mike’s Murder is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
1-2-3 Go (This Town’s a Fairground) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. After few listenings I started to like Laundromat Monday more and more. Memphis is just simply stunning. In Moonlight it becomes nowhere more obvious that Joe Jackson has yet to define own style. Zemio is the albums biggest surprise. Breakdown has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Moonlight Theme - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
