John Williams was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from John Williams and Black Sunday together. This disc has all of the essential John Williams classics. There is no doubt that John Williams has talent. Theme and Beirut, Nov. 12 is really good.
Beirut, Nov. 12 is beautiful, yet underrated track. If you are a John Williams fan, you will love Planting The Charges. Not Used In Film - Check out that bassline! The Shipment Arrives is a striking and quite long song. Bridge Over Troubled Waters is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Naughty Nurse presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Black Sunday. Hospital Murder is the song that really did it for me. This track is full of harmonies and gets Black Sunday off to a relaxing start. The Barn motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Physics is gorgeous work of John Williams. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. This song stands out greatly from the others. I believe Major Setback is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Security Prep is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. First time I heard Unused Cue was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.The sound of Blimp Takes Off is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Game Plan is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Best song on the album, love it. The song Blimp And The Bomb ending is my favorite… so catchy! The Attack is a excellent sing-along. John Williams sings Back-Up Fuse in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Police Chopper is another strong production from John Williams. Air Chase is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Runaway Blimp is nothing but pure genius. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Black Sunday. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Black Sunday Suite from the beginning to the end.
