There were many famous songs of John Williams available. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John Williams energies, virtually a rebirth. Lead single “The Raiders March” and “Main Title: South America” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Unappreciated gift to Soundtrack
Main Title: South America is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. In The Idol’s Temple is simple, dignified and effective, John Williams refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Musically Flight From Peru is superior to other tracks in Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981 Film). I came to like The Basket Game. I like to sing along with Journey To Nepal, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I can’t stop humming along The Medallion. John Williams breathes new life into the music in To Cairo. I like the idea behind The Map Room: Dawn. Reunion And The Dig Begins is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I have all of John Williams’s tracks and The Well Of The Souls is probably the most his introspective effort. Airplane Fight one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. As always, John Williams’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Marion’s Theme - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. The German Sub/To The Nazi Hideout is a striking and quite long song. Ark Trek is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The Warehouse gives good insight into the truths. I love the melodic melody of End Credits and to this day it makes me feel good.
