For older fans Star Wars will put a massive smile accross your face. There is so much to love about John Williams, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. On Star Wars album, John Williams have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Main Title
John Williams sings Main Title in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Imperial Attack - This one is lively and fun. The Desert And The Robot Auction is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Album opener The Little People Work is a bright, upbeat ditty. A fantastic track full of wonder. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Voice of John Williams in The Return Home is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This track is full of harmonies and gets Star Wars off to a relaxing start. John Williams rocks harder than ever with Cantina Band. Mouse Robot And Blasting Off is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Rescue Of The Princess (4:51) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with The Walls Converge. Ben s Death And Tie Fighter Attack is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Star Wars. Princess Leia s Theme is worth the money. Once you hear The Last Battle, you will listen to it over and over. The Throne Room And End Title great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
