It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John Williams energies, virtually a rebirth. On Superman (CD2) album, John Williams have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Superman (CD2) is an amazing album, racked with beauty. If you want to hear real Soundtrack, get this record now!
After few listenings I started to like The March Of The Villains more and more. The Terrace still maintains something of a specific flourish. John Williams allows each song to breathe and flourish. John Williams rocks harder than ever with Lois And Clark. Crime Of The Century is a cool, simple song by John Williams at the top of his game. Sonic Greeting (2:22) - awsome. Voice of John Williams in Misguided Missiles And Kryptonite is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I like the agression and power of Chasing Rockets. You have to get essence of the Superfeats’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Super Dam And Finding Lois is the song that really did it for me. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Turning Back The World, which shows, blatantly, how much John Williams has evolved as a singer. Finale And End Title March is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Nice and different song. John Williams has astounded me with this amazing track. I love the melodic melody of The Flying Sequence- Can You Read My Mind and to this day it makes me feel good. Lyrics of Can You Read My Mind (Alternate Instrumental) are precise and evocative. After about the third Theme From Superman (Concert Version) listen through, I began to believe this song is John Williams’s essence.
