Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Klaus Schonning comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. two years ago, Klaus Schonning briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Light Beams”. There is so much to love about Klaus Schonning, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Such great and happy songs.
Light Beams one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. A fantastic track full of wonder. Lydglimt couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track The Steam. I was truly moved when I heard The Thundercloud. Evening Rain is the most memorable and perfect. No Klaus Schonning song has come close to capturing my attention as Calm Af The Ocean did. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Shifting Sand is a very catchy tune. Dune Mist - This is a very lively song. What sets The Seagull apart is Klaus Schonning’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Music of Sunset is gentle, never overbearing. A unique and uplifting song.
