After seeing One For You, One For Me, I had to have a good La Bionda cd. It has been three years La Bionda’ last studio CD, “La Bionda” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. La Bionda isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. La Bionda touched my soul like nothing else.
Album opener Hey Woman is a bright, upbeat ditty. A fantastic track full of wonder. Sandstorm - For me, this is the best of the album. Song For Smokey And The Bandit is one of the coolest songs La Bionda has ever recorded. Best song on the album, love it. La Bionda is hitting on all cylinders in Welcome Home. The first time I listened to Moonlight Palais I was struck by its cool sound. Baby Make Love is almost impossible to review. From the moment you listen to Bandido you’re hooked. In Black And White the music gets its power. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on La Bionda. Will She Or Won’t She very upbeat. Bandido (Bonus - Single Version) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. A great put together song. There’s No Other Way (Bonus) - This one is lively and fun.
