On Friday’s Child album, Lee Hazlewood have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lee Hazlewood’s debut, ‘Friday’s Child’, does not fit easily into one genre. It has been twelve years Lee Hazlewood’ last studio CD, “Friday’s Child” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Hutchinson Jail is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. By The Way one of the best in my collection. Four Kinds O Flonely is absolutely incredible. All of songs on Friday’s Child and have something to say letting alone Houston. Sally Was A Good Old Girl - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Since You’re Gone - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Music of A Real Live Fool is gentle, never overbearing. I’m Blue is one of these floating songs. The Fool is a bit of a show-tune.
