Lee Hazlewood had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Trouble Is A Lonesome Town is an amazing album, racked with beauty.John Digester has compared writing for Lee Hazlewood’s new album to that on ‘Trouble Is A Lonesome Town’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Overall, I would highly recommend Trouble Is A Lonesome Town CD.
It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Son Of A Gun, which shows, blatantly, how much Lee Hazlewood has evolved as a singer. We All Make The Flowers Grow make listening to Lee Hazlewood like being in some sort of time warp. The opening track Run Boy Run is very much like you would expect from other albums. Six Feet Of Chain is a very catchy tune. The Railroad is probably the highlight of the album. Look At That Woman is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Peculiar Guy is the albums biggest surprise. Trouble Is A Lonesome Town - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
