While no new Ligeti, Gyorgy album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1961 tour in Africa. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ligeti, Gyorgy on ‘Glissandi’. Self-described as Classical with lots of words, Ligeti, Gyorgy comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Works For Tape and Orchestra is the best essence of Ligeti, Gyorgy.
Artikulation makes a person feel excellent. Atmospheres is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I loved Requiem the first time I heard it. Lux Aeterna hits the heart.
