This album has some very good songs like Rocky Mountain and Got To Move Your Baby. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Last Night Blues’ really is amazing. It’s natural for Lightnin’ Hopkins and Sonny Terry to take a stab at ‘Rocky Mountain’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. If you want to hear real Blues, get this record now!
I think Got To Move Your Baby is the best song Lightnin’ Hopkins and Sonny Terry has ever done. So Sorry To Leave You (4:24) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Last Night Blues is pretty funky and mellow. I like the agression and power of Lightnin’s Stroke. Hard To Love A Woman without a doubt is the standout song of Last Night Blues. As always, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Sonny Terry’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
