This disc has all of the essential Lou Reed classics. Since completing 1982’s ‘My House’, Lou Reed fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is no doubt that Lou Reed has talent. One of Lou Reed’s best albums yet.
Women is a bit different from Lou Reed stereotypical stuff. This song may be the most meaningful. Gun have really caught my ear and imagination. The Blue Mask is a great opener for The Blue Mask. Average Guy is so unique, as each one of the songs is. I find myself hearing bits of Heroine here and there throughout my waking hours. Waves Of Fear gets you up and jumping. There is cool mix of music in Day John Kennedy Died. Heavenly Arms is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction.
